On Monday, February 28, 2022,
Magnolia Fisher Candles partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Walton County for a Repurpose Project benefiting Women Build 2022. We had such a fun girls' night from 6 - 8pm! In this class, students created one homemade Magnolia Fisher Candle using 100% Chemical Free ingredients.
When students came into the facility, they chose their repurposed vessel (bowl, vase, drinking glass, etc.), their favorite smelling essential oil, dried flower petals and fruit, and jewelry to decorate their candle. Owner of Magnolia Fisher Candles,
Maggie White, was so generous to provide the wax, wood-burning wicks, and decorations. She demonstrated the perfect (wax) pour which she also uses to bartend at
Slick Lips - ask for her next time you visit!
Our students enjoyed their time at the
Walton County ReStore after hours with a personal tour of the new facility. Magnolia Fisher Candles embraces what it means to be a woman and that aligns perfectly with Habitat's women empowerment initiative. All participants were able to take their candle home the same evening. We can't wait to do it all again soon!
Join us next time for a Repurpose Project by keeping an eye on our Facebook Events page. The ReStore is located at 2440 US Hwy 98 W, Santa Rosa Beach, FL.
Thank you to our Women Build 2022 Sponsors who make this all possible:
